Meet Dr. Edith Kennedy: What's new on her farm
In this photo from a recent tour of Oakwood Farm, Dr. Edith Kennedy is in red and Prince William Soil and Water Conservation District conservation specialist Beata Coss is on the right in white.
Through a grant from the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation and more than 50 additional partners, the Prince William Soil and Water Conservation District helped install a number of conservation practices on Oakwood Farm, owned by Catharpin resident Dr. Edith Kennedy. Those practices include rotational grazing systems, automatic watering systems, sacrifice lot installation and innovative manure composting systems.
