Meet Lynn Barbini: Owner of Cedar Grove Stables
Who is behind the “Historic Trail Rides” signs now dotting the Virginia landscape? That would be Lynn Barbini, owner of Cedar Grove Stables in Providence Forge, who we highlight today. “Relax and ride through 200 acres of beautiful Virginia countryside as you tour historic Cedar Grove Plantation,” according to a brochure advertising the historic rides. Cedar Grove Plantation was the home of first lady Letitia Christian Tyler, wife of 10th President John Tyler.

What is your “claim to fame”?: Homemade macaroni and cheese.
Hobbies: The beach, boating, riding.
Philosophy on life: Find your dream and try to live it. Everything else will be a bonus.
Best horse advice ever received: Never let your guard down.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?: I want to go to Heaven and take as many of my friends with me as I can.
Lynn’s five tips for trail riders:
1. Never, never let your guard down, always be ready for anything.
2. Always check your own gear; don't leave it to someone else.
3. Always wear a helmet no matter how good you think you are.
4. Never trail ride alone.
5. Pay attention to your horse. If he doesn’t want to go, there may be a good reason for it. Check it out.
