Meet the Audiberts
Gordonsville couple publish coffee-table book
Name: Phil and Susie Audibert (see photos above).
Born: 1949 and 1952 respectively.
Current residence: Gordonsville.
Family: No children.
Pets: A golden retriever and a cat that thinks he's one.
Horses: A Connemara pony, a Saddlebred mare, and a sweet but permanently lame Morgan.
Occupation: Freelance writer/photographer team with two steady gigs: The Orange County Review “Insider” series and The Virginia Sportsman magazine.
How did you happen to become an equine photographer? In 2005 we started following the Keswick Hunt Club fox hounds on foot. Since then we have attended hundreds of meets and shot thousands of photographs.
What is your “claim to fame”? Recently we just published a coffee table book of our photographs titled “The Art of Foxhunting.”
Hobbies: Playing traditional Irish music and skiing (Phil); horseback riding and therapy dogs (Susie), and we both love to cook.
Philosophy on life: Take it one day at a time.
Best horse advice ever received: The red ribbon on his tail means he kicks.
